4 killed, dozens injured during mass shooting in US’s Alabama state

At least four people were killed and several others were injured in a mass shooting incident in Alabama in US on Saturday night.
The shooting happened in the Five Points South area in Alabama’s Birmingham at around 11 pm (local time) on Saturday, ABC News reported.
The area is located near the University of Alabama and is a popular hangout spot filled with restaurants and bars.
Birmingham police and firefighters are present at the scene and further investigation is on. Police believe that multiple shooters are involved in the incident, CNN reported.
Officials saw two men and a woman unresponsive with gunshot wounds, who were declared dead on the scene, CNN reported. Another person died at the hospital.
The victims were all out in the open on the sidewalk or on the streets in one of the most popular entertainment areas in the city, Birmingham Officer Truman Fitzgerald was quoted as saying by CNN.
